Rolled at the Bellagio

Last night, Sunday, my wife and i were looking for something to do so i suggested that we check out the famous fountain at the Bellagio. I have always wanted to check it out because it is a Vegas icon. Plus, i wanted to walk around the strip at night and figured that i wouldn’t look like a loser if i had someone with me. We had been walking around all day so i suggested that we take the monorail there and we would walk back. It only cost us $5 each, and it was totally worth it. Things on the strip look like they are close, but in actuality, they are really far away so the monorail just seemed like a good idea.

We took the monorail to Bally’s & Paris Las Vegas Station. It is really neat. The Paris part looks really neat as the ceiling is painted like sky and clouds and it is an eerie feeling of really being dusk. We saw the eiffel tower, but it was $40 for a ride to the top and 2 glasses of wine so we opted to keep moving for our primary target.

We wandered around until we found a door to the outside world and luckily we were right across the street from the fountain. We walked down the the cross walk and crossed over to the fountain at the Bellagio. After about 5 minutes and some pictures, the show started. It was pretty cool. There was music from A Chorus Line as the fountain did its thing. The performance lasted about 5 minutes or so and when it was over i was very content that i could cross one more thing off of my very short ‘thing-to-do-in-vegas’ list when it happened. As i was walking away from the fountain i had my back the fountain when i got rolled from behind. Booming over the speakers, plain as day in all of his pale skin glory was the great Rick Astley.
