Grilled Eggplant Baba Ghanoush
Great, what am I going to do with an $8 bottle of leftover tahini I thought as i was cleaning the kitchen after making some hummus dip. Well, i finally got around to making some baba Ghanoush with it. I used Alton Brown’s recipe from the Good Eats television show. It turned out decent, but it is missing something. The only Baba Ghanoush I have had was from a local restraunt called Cafe Aladin. I am not sure how authentic it is, but it is good and that is all i care about. Anyway, the eggplant cooked nicely on the grill after i had finished cooking my steak the other night. I think the Good Eats recipe had too much parsley in it. I don’t particularly care for parsley in large amounts, and this called for an entire bunch. I don’t know the name of the spice that it is missing. It is a raisin colored powder and it is pretty bitter…. Does anyone know?
